Now hiring sports and recreation and dramatic arts students

The YWCA of Niagara will once again be offering employment opportunities to local college students through the Grigg-Lewis Internship program. Open to any Niagara County resident currently attending college or seeking to begin college in the fall, these internships offer a chance to sample the working environment while getting paid. The YWCA will be offering two Grigg-Lewis positions withing their summer day camp. The first, a Sports and Recreation Director, is a 35-hour per week position offering a college student the opportunity to work with children teaching them recreational activities and good sportsmanship. The student will implement a sports program which reaches out to all campers regardless of their athletic abilities and helps to instill in them a positive sense of accomplishment. The second position to be offered is a Dramatic Arts Counselor. This position would allow a college student to implement a dramatic arts program which would provide campers with an overview of basic drama/musical skills. Instruction and fun rather than perfection will be the focus. The positions is also for 35 hours each week during the summer day camp program.
